Client

Engagement
Any project, contract, or collaboration initiated on the platform between a client and a freelancer.
Platform content
Listings, profiles, reviews, communications, files, and other materials shared via Fusion.
User responsibilities
You agree to keep your account information accurate, safeguard your credentials, and only use the Services for lawful purposes. Additional expectations include:
- Promptly updating material changes to your business details, payment methods, or project availability.
- Collaborating professionally, including timely responses to messages, milestone reviews, and deliverable approvals.
- Maintaining accurate records of agreements and communications to assist with compliance and dispute resolution.
Platform guidelines
Accuracy
Provide truthful details in profiles, proposals, and project descriptions. Misleading or deceptive statements may lead to account suspension.
Integrity
Keep payments on Fusion unless we approve an exception in writing. Off-platform transfers violate these Terms and diminish community safety.
Respect
Practice inclusive and professional communication. Harassment, discrimination, or hateful content is strictly prohibited.
Security
Protect confidential materials and refrain from uploading malicious code, phishing links, or unauthorized personal data.
Projects and payments
Fusion facilitates transparent collaborations. To maintain trust, you agree to the following engagement principles:
- Clear scopes. Document deliverables, timelines, and acceptance criteria before beginning work.
- Milestone alignment. Review submissions in a timely manner and provide actionable feedback within the agreed timeframe.
- Secure payments. Use Fusion's payment tools for invoices, escrow, and reimbursements. Applicable service fees will be displayed prior to confirmation.
- Dispute support. When conflicts arise, engage with Fusion's mediation process and share relevant documentation.
Intellectual property
Unless a project agreement states otherwise, freelancers retain rights to work product until clients satisfy payment obligations. After payment, IP ownership transfers according to the written terms between the parties. Fusion does not claim ownership of user-generated content but requires a limited license to deliver and improve the Services.
Protecting innovation
Report suspected infringement to legal@fusion.com. Provide evidence of ownership and any relevant registration details so our team can respond quickly.
Compliance and disputes
You are responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, including tax, employment, export, and data protection regulations. Fusion may request documentation confirming compliance and may suspend access when legal requirements are unmet.
For disputes between users, we encourage direct negotiation backed by transparent records of the engagement. If unresolved, use Fusion's dispute tools so our team can review conversation history, deliverables, and payment milestones.
Regulatory guidance
Depending on your location, additional consumer protections may apply. Consult local authorities or seek legal advice before making assumptions about employment status, tax reporting, or cross-border engagements.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect platform improvements, legal developments, or emerging safety standards. Significant changes will be communicated through your account email or in-product notifications. Continued use of Fusion after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
